University of Iowa’s Voice Academy  – An excellent online resource designed to help teachers understand and healthily use their voices, but great for singers to learn from too! Remember that healthy speaking voices are necessary for healthy singing voices!

IMSLP/Petrucci Music Library: Free Public Domain Sheet Music – A lot of the music we sing is old and out of copyright.  See if you can find some fun, new-to-you pieces here for free!

Lied, Art Song, and Choral Texts Archive  – THE site for texts and translations of songs

SongHelix – University of Utah’s search engine for finding songs by composer, range, language, poet, topic, composer’s gender, poet’s race, and so many more options!

The Aria Database – Search by opera, composer, language, voice type, fach, range, role, and more.  See synopses, texts, and translations.

IPA Source – A great source for phonetic transcriptions of classical pieces in various languages.  Fees per piece or free with paid membership.

Art Song Finder – A new database for finding repertoire based on language, range, difficulty, etc.  Gives very useful information about the style and challenges of each song.

Basic Copyright Information for Musicians – What is fair use?  When can I copy music?  Etc.
